Ben van den Heever, the founder of this company, was raised in Pretoria, South Africa, where he frequently visited his grandfather's butchery. HIs grandfather was an admired butcher and hunter who was renowned for making some of the best biltong in Pretoria. Ben was a regular visitor and would always leave with a paper bag full of fresh biltong. After moving to NYC, Ben decided to continue the family tradition and created the Brooklyn-inspired biltong that you are enjoying today!
